Balfar's Challenge
Balfar's Challenge is our barony's annual martial event, hosted by His Grace Duke Balfar von Grunwald. It is held in the spring and features a melee tournament involving fighters throughout the kingdom. It is one of the East Kingdom's first large fighting events of the season, often involving 75 or more heavy list combatents.
Balfar's Challenge also features fencing, archery and thrown weapons, so provides a wonderful overview of SCAdian martial pursuits.
The next Balfar's Challenge will be held in April 2015.
